Symptoms

Reports Server 11g R2 is installed on Unix / Linux and a Motif environment is not available and REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY=YES is set in the configuration files as indicated in

<Note 1309058.1>   "Where to Set Environment Variables For the Reports Servers in 11g? "

For example, per reports.sh file, REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY=YES is already enabled and DISPLAY disabled (the DISPLAY must not be used and then, was already unset in reports.sh) :
