Identity Synchronization Windows 6.0 sp1 fails to link exsisting Active Directory and Directory Server Enterprise Edition accounts (Doc ID 1483095.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to perform initial synchronization for an ISW configuration that is based on exsisting AD and DS entries being linked, ISW fails to update the entry with error messages.  This results in none of the existing user accounts linking and then synchronizing. When testing creatino of a new account in the DSEE, it is properly created in AD and linked to, and for that account syncing works correctly.


This is show in the central/audit.log as well as errors.

Changes

 This has been seen to take place in new installations as the required step to complete installation calls for the user to perform initial linking of the accounts present in the DSEE and AD using the idsync resync command.  Regardless of configuration in the linkusers.cfg and linkusers-simple.cfg, the idsync resync will complete, but be failing in the background with messages like the ones above in the ISW logging.
