Goal

Can  Latin1 be used with Unicode and UTF8 with MySQl?

I have two databases, each with a different character set. One is MySQL with  "utf8" & "latin1/latin1_general_cs"  and the other "utf8" & "US7ASCII" for Oracle database.

Considering document "MySQL Installation and Setup Guide" said that "The character set of the target database must be a superset of the character set of the source database." , then how to verify Oracle "utf8" & "US7ASCII" are the super set of MySQL "utf8" & "latin1/latin1_general_cs"
