JVM Crashes in GCTaskThread in 64-bit Mode When -XX:+UseCompressedOops Is Set

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The issue has been observed in both Java 6 and 7 in various updates.
An application crashes leaving a hs_err<pid>.log. Usually there isn't a complete stack trace.
