OC4J Instance With BPEL Deployment Not Able To Start, It Hangs (Doc ID 1489274.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Containers for J2EE - Version 10.1.3.3.0 to 10.1.3.5.0 [Release AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oc4j BPEL failed to start, there are no error in any log either opmn/logs/<oc4j logfile>  nor oc4j_bpel/log

The opmn timeout fired so the current process was stopped by opmn and then a new  startup retried,  but again hangs.

So in order to troubleshoot several threadumps were generated to check what was going on with the different threads of the JVM while hunging.

Changes

Customer reported no changes had been applied to the oc4j-bpel or server.
