Symptoms

HTTP(S) Adapter fails to post to HTTPS server with exception: "java.io.IOException: HTTPS hostname wrong" :-

13:35:58.694 EWY  A 9 (java_extensions.cxx:1442): Failed on POST method; Exception : java.io.IOException: HTTPS hostname wrong:  should be <68.44.136.121>
13:35:58.694 COLV I 9 (java_extensions.cxx:1442): * * * Caught connection exception: java.io.IOException: HTTPS hostname wrong:  should be <68.44.136.121> * * *

This happens when posting to URIs which contain an IP address.
