New Page - Page Definition Selection Ignores Continue Button (Doc ID 1491575.1)

Goal

When creating a new Page the user needs to select a Page Definition. Selecting a page definition from the drop down automatically takes user to the content form of that Page Definition without allowing them to press the Continue button before proceeding. Can this be prevented?
