After Configuring WLS Admin Port, DIP 11g Disappears From EM Console and Managed Server wls_ods1 Has Down Status (Doc ID 1492280.1)

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g and Directory Integration Platform (DIP).

After configuring WLS Admin Port as per "Configure the domain-wide administration port" documentation, and launching Enterprise Manager (EM) Fusion Middleware (FMW) Control via the SSL url, DIP disappears / no longer shows as a component under "Identity and Access".

Also, under Farm_<Domain>, the Managed Server (i.e., wls_ods1) shows status of being down / red arrow.

Changes

 Configured WLS Admin port.
