Embedded Assets Contain Unnecessary Spaces

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When adding an embedded asset that renders a link in CKEditor, there are spaces before and after the link. The intention is to include a link into the attribute text like this:
but instead it is renders like this:
with a space after the link. There is also an extra space in front of the link. These spaces are part of the embedded asset text. They're not part of the attribute text in which the asset is embedded.
