How to get perf dump (perfdump) output when Oracle iPlanet Web Sever is configured to send all requests to the backend server (Doc ID 1493898.1)

Goal

With Oracle iPlanet Web Server 6.1 and 7.0,  this document instructs how to get perf dump output when the Web Server is configured to send all requests (/*) using the proxy (Weblogic/Reverse Proxy) plugin to backend/origin server.

If the Oracle iPlanet Web Server is configured to send all incoming request to the backend server as below:

NameTrans fn=assign-name from="/*" name="weblogic"

OR

<Object name="weblogic" ppath="*">

</Object>

 

and the same Oracle iPlanet Web Server is configured to get perf dump ouput. The request for perf dump will pass it to the backed server which will cause a "Not Found (404)" message.
