Symptoms
1. Unable to ping DB during test when installing WebCenter Sites 11gR1 on Tomcat .
2. The following is seen in the install_log.log:
[CS.INSTALL][INFO] CSSetupEngine.testConnectionAction: Testing user configuration and database connectivity.
[CS.INSTALL][INFO] CSSetupEngine.postURL: PostURL success for http://localhost:8080/cs/HelloCS
[CS.INSTALL][INFO] CSSetupEngine.testConnectionAction:
Web Server and Application Server Configuration test finished successfully.
[CS.INSTALL][INFO] CSSetupEngine.testConnectionAction: Attempting to Ping the Database.
[CS.INSTALL][ERROR] CSSetupEngine.doPing: Database Ping Failed.
Make sure your application server and web server are running.
3. The following is seen in the application server's localhost log:
"SEVERE: Servlet /cs threw load() exception
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.commons.pool.KeyedObjectPoolFactory"
