Symptoms

Problem : SALT 12cR1 can not be installed after Tuxedo 12cR1 installation.

Tuxedo 12cR1 installation is considered as successfully installed :

sh tuxedo12110_64_linux_5_x86.bin -i console

Specify a new Oracle Home directory: /opt/oracle/tux12c.000
Specify Product Installation Directory: /opt/oracle/tux12c.000/tuxedo12.1.1.0

Congratulations. Tuxedo 12.1.1.0 has been successfully installed to:

  /opt/oracle/tux12c.000/tuxedo12.1.1.0

However the registry contains:

[yourTuxedoAccountName@yourBoxname tux12c.000]# cat registry.xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?><bea-product-information/>
[[yourTuxedoAccountName@yourBoxname tux12c.000]#

And no more

And SALT installer then complains that no Tuxedo is installed.
