No Option To Turn off The Validation For An Inbound 997 Agreement (Doc ID 1496470.1)

Last updated on MARCH 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle B2B 10g (Business to Business) - Version 10.1.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For inbound and outbound agreements, B2B UI provides option to turn off validation for all EDI documents except 997. in some cases you receive 997 with invalid values and accepting the 997 in B2B 10g world by turning off the validation.
Even in PS3 version (11.1.1.4.0), you have work around to do that. If the 997 agreement is imported after changing the below value to 'false' in tpa_xxxxxxxxxx.xml, you are able to turn off the validation for an Inbound 997 agreement.

But in PS5 (11.1.1.6.0), you are not able to do that. Even after changing the x12-param-validate value to 'false' and import, the value got imported as 'True'.

You need a way to turn off the validation for an Inbound 997 agreement.
