Changing Photo Attached To User In OID Is Not Recognized In Spaces

Symptoms
WebCenter Spaces is configured with OID for authentication.
When a photo is updated in OID, this change is not reflected in Spaces.
The change is never seen, even after a period of time has expired or after restarting the Spaces managed server.
This indicates the problem is not just related to caching as described here :
