Details

Oracle JDBC driver 11.2.0.3 version supports JDK 1.7, which means one can use 11.2.0.3 ojdc6.jar file to run it with JDK 1.7 and JDK 1.6.

Known issues with JDK 1.7 and JDBC 11g:

- <Document 1498112.1> ORA-01843 ERR IS THROWN WHEN INSERT A ROW WITH DATE TYPE WITH JDK7.
- <Document 1498061.1> Does Oracle 11g JDBC Support Kerberos Cross-Realm Authentication?
- SSL weak algorithm suites have been removed from the JDK (in other  words, JDK 7 is more strict).

Note: Only ojdbc6.jar from Oracle JDBC driver 11.2.0.3 and greater JDBC 11g versions support JDK 1.7. JDBC 12 includes ojdbc7.jar for use with JDK 1.7.

Please note that Oracle JDBC driver can be embedded in Oracle products such as Fusion MiddleWare products. In this case, for Oracle JDBC driver certification or upgrade questions, please refer to documentation related to those Oracle products. Certification and and upgrade information in this document applies to the database JDBC driver (standalone JDBC).
