Public Spaces do not get Listed in SES Search Results with Logged on User (Doc ID 1498232.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.1.5.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

SES-search, unlike Live search, does not return results from a public Space if the user executing the search request is not a member of that public space and is logged in.
The user may however need those results to decide if he wants to become a member of that public Space.
When the user logs out and repeats the same search then the public Space is found as expected.

Steps to Reproduce
==================
1. Access a WebCenter Portal: Spaces with public user, without logging in

2. Issue a search with a keyword that returns a public Space in the search result

3. Login to Spaces

4. Repeat the search with the same keyword that returned the public Space in step 2
Notice that the public Space is no longer returned
