Errors when Attempting to Create a New ODI 11G Oracle Master Repository on an Oracle Database Schema from a Micrososft SQL Server Master Repository Export File (Doc ID 1498937.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to import and overwrite an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g Master repository implemented on Oracle database schema with an export file coming from Microsoft SQL Server with the following steps :

  1. Launch ODI 11.1.1.6.3 Studio on Oracle Master Repository
  2. Go to File Menu > New > Master repository Import Wizard (Creates a new master Rep using an existing export file) + OK button
  3. Select Database connection parameters and test the connection
  4. Set new Master Repository ID 
  5. Select either zip file or Export Parth of EXPORT MASTER REP file coming from Microsoft SQL Server
  6. SELECT TECHNOLOGY (by this we understand SOURCE TECHNOLOGY - in this case Microsoft SQL Server
  7. Click Finish...operation start and aborts with error message :
