JAX-RPC Cannot Find URL and Fails with java.rmi.UnknownHostException (Doc ID 1499531.1)

Symptoms

A Handle for a SFSB is being persisted. When trying to reuse the Handle after the Server (where the SFSB is located) is restarted, the following exception is obtained:
  

 

So after the EJB error, the server is no longer able to find the URL.  A server restart solves the problem, but a recall using the persisted stub makes the problem to appear again.
