RP/TUX Tuxedo MIB Based Program Can't Access QSPACE Queue Info. Produces Q_CAT:1495: Error In ULOG. (Doc ID 1499931.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 11.1.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Multiple Tuxedo /Q queue spaces are created on master and slave machines (that is to sav, a Tuxedo MP MODEL ubb configuration).

Then an attempt to access a slave machine queue space,  using Tuxedo MIB calls, fails with:

012345.slavemachine!BBL.6789.1.0: Q_CAT:1495: ERROR: xa_open() - failed to attach to shared memory, key = 54321, errno = 22

The client program, using Tuxedo MIB interface, on the master machine successfully queries the status of the slave machine Tuxedo queue spaces three times and then fails on the fourth execution.

The shared memory key reported in the above message corresponds to the value used when creating one of the queue spaces on the slave machine.

Changes

 Upgraded from Tuxedo 8.1 to Tuxedo 11gR1 binaries.
