Directory not Found Error in Profile -> Documents for New Users (Doc ID 1500021.1)

Symptoms

In WebCenter 11.1.1.5.4, after installing
<Patch 14553563> - all the documents of the space are displayed in my profile page documents tab

You get the following error when you navigate to the Documents tab of the My Profile page added to a custom Space:

Directory not found.
Contact the administrator to ensure that the configuration is correct and that the /PersonalSpaces/pondrejk2/Public directory exists and is accessible.

In the same time only the following is written to WC_Spaces.out and WC_Spaces-diagnostic.log:

There are no new messages in the UCM logs.
When you access the My Profile page from the Home Space context then it works fine and it creates the public folder for the user.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install Bundle Patch 4 on top of an 11.1.1.5.0 WebCenter Spaces:
    <Patch 13647251> - webcenter portal bundle patch 11.1.1.5.4
  2. Install the following one-off patch:
    <Patch 14553563> - all the documents of the space are displayed in my profile page documents tab per the readme. Male sure to also execute the Post-Installation Instructions.
  3. Create a new public Space.
  4. In Spaces Administration create a new Navigation object.
  5. Select Show for the navigation object to make it visible.
  6. Edit the new navigation.
  7. Add a new link object.
  8. Name it something like My Profile Page.
  9. Click on the Magnifier icon next to the Path to bring up the LOV for the page.
  10. In the Select popup navigate to Pages -> Hone Space Pages -> My Profile
  11. Click on Select.
  12. Note, the path should be something like this:
    page://oracle/webcenter/page/scopedMD/s8bba98ff_4cbb_40b8_beee_296c916a23ed/businessRolePages/MyProfileMainView.jspx
  13. Click on OK to save the new link.
  14. Click on OK to save the navigation.
  15. Go to the General tab of the new Space settings.
  16. Specify the new navigation in the Navigation LOV.
  17. Go back to the Space and make sure that the My Profile Page appears in the navigation of the Space.
  18. Create a new user.
  19. Login to Spaces with the new user.
  20. Navigate to the My Profile Page.
  21. Click on the Documents tab and notice the following error:
    Directory not found.
    Contact the administrator to ensure that the configuration is correct and that the /PersonalSpaces/pondrejk2/Public directory exists and is accessible.
