Invoke "apply JRF" in Fusion Middleware Control Fails With "Domain has not been extended with JRF template" Error (Doc ID 1500769.1)

In Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control(fmwc) pressing "Apply JRF" button for a domain fails with following exception :

The MW_HOME has already been extended with JRF template. ADF applications work properly.
Steps from "How To Install the ADF Runtime Libraries 11g Release 2 in WebLogic Sever 10.3.5 / 10.3.6 ? (Doc ID 1328698.1)" has been successfully applied.
A newly created domain does not reproduce the problem. Issue only reproduces when the domain was created before the ADF runtime had been installed.
