Global Search Does Not Find Forum Entries In Discussions Server When Using a Single Multibyte Keyword and Using CJK Indexer Type
(Doc ID 1501273.1)
Last updated on MARCH 20, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After changing the indexer type in Jive Discussion Server to CJK, searching a forum in WebCenter Spaces global search (WebCenter Portal live search) and using a multibyte string (e.g. searching it with Japanese keyword) does not work as expected:
- If searching via WebCenter global search with a single multibyte keyword, it never returns any articles in discussion forums.
- When the issue occurs, no errors are reported in the browser or in the server logs.
But it works fine in the following cases:
- If searching with "multiple" keywords in multibyte characters, it returns articles.
- If searching with single "ASCII" keywords (e.g. an English word), it returns articles.
Changes
