Symptoms


The Brazilian accents on words from the data files used to implement Textquery Datasource (textpds.conf) are changed to "¿".

The original datasource ASCII file reads:

The problem reproduces with other desformat like HTML, too.

At operating system level using LANG=en_US.UTF-8

The datasource ASCII file displays the correct accents using vi/notepad to open it.
