java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20121 and ORA-29283 When Calling PL/SQL Procedure (Doc ID 1501948.1)

Symptoms

A stored procedure that generates a file is created in a RAC database with several nodes. When it is called from a J2EE application using Oracle JDBC driver, it fails with error:

Internal Exception: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20121: Error en <stored procedure name>: -29283, ORA-29283: invalid file operation
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_FILE", line 536
ORA-29283: invalid file operation
ORA-06512: at "<stored procedure name>", line 124
