How To Load Refreshed Data from an XML File Using the ODI XML Driver (Doc ID 1504477.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g and 12c, when loading data from an XML file into a database table, the first load works as expected, but subsequent loads don't refresh the data from the XML file if the data in the file was modified.

Instead, the same data as previously loaded is re-used even though the property "load_data_on_connect" and "drop_on_disconnect" are set to "true". This occurs regardless of using schema load in-memory or having configured the XML data server with an external database.

When the Agent or ODI Studio is restarted, sometimes the refreshed XML file is loaded.

What causes this? Also, how to ensure to always load the current refreshed XML file in mappings?
