Date Value on Batches Imported in WebCenter Capture Import Server are not Formatted Correctly (Doc ID 1505337.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Capture 10g - Version 10.1.3.5.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Import Server imports an email using the EMail provider, a date field is configured to populate with the "Date/Time" of the email in the "Field Mappings" tab of the EMail provider. The Date Format specified is "yyyy-mm-dd". However after importing the date is imported as:

"Thu, 1 Mar 2012 13:57:37 -0500"

This makes the value invalid for a date field in Capture. When attempting to commit the document the following error is returned:

Error: 30027
The following error occurred while attempting to commit the batch:
[The data on page 1 field ScanDate violates the data integrity rules for fields of that type. The data entered was Thu, 1 Mar 2012 13:57:37 -0500]
