Unable to Edit Activity Stream Display Options in My Profile (Doc ID 1505373.1)

Symptoms

The Activity Stream display options are not editable on the 'My Profile' page ('My Profile' => Activity Stream => Options => Settings Tab):

 

 

Editing the Activity Stream display options through the 'Preferences' link ('Preferences' => People Connections => Activity Stream) does allow for selection of Activity Stream display options but such choices are not reflected on the 'My Profile' Activity Stream task flow.
