EXTRACT ON RAC CREATED WITH ONE NODE DOWN DOES NOT HANDLE ALL THREADS WHEN THE NODE IS UP (Doc ID 1505780.1)

Last updated on MAY 16, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate - Version 11.2.1.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In a X-NODE RAC environment. An ALO Downstream Classic extract t is created when one of the node is down with the same number of THREADS as RAC nodes).
When the node is started the new thread is not automatically handled.
If all nodes are up when the extract is created, it works fine. Eg:

ADD EXTRACT EGGLAS01,THREADS 4, TRANLOG, BEGIN NOW
ADD RMTTRAIL /moteurs/oracle/product/11g/ogg_1/dirdat/E1, EXTRACT EGGLAS01 , MEGABYTES 100
