The article applies to all releases of ODI like the current 12C as well as to previous releases.

Symptoms

When attempting to install Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 11g or above, using the "All platforms" installation packages, the installation starts and proceed to some point and then fails with following message:

 The string "Thread-23" can be varied and not necessarily exactly as shown.
