Sudo command on Linux x86-64 Oracle Linux 6 (OEL6) fails with:

$ sudo -l
Sorry, try again.

sudo: 3 incorrect password attempts

 

In comparison, another working server of same platform/OS and same configuration works as expected, as follows:

$ sudo -l
[sudo] <PASSWORD> for <USER>:
Matching Defaults entries for <USER> on this host:
