WLS 10.3.5 - How To Close Connection When Using IIOP Through HTTP Tunnel? (Doc ID 1508507.1)

Last updated on JULY 06, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When using IIOP-HTTP tunnelling and closing the JNDI context, there is still one HTTP connection remaining open. It only goes away when the client program is terminated.

A minimal testcase to check for this problem is to run the following class and monitor network connections via the netstat command, looking only at ESTABLISHED connections.

To have many dangling network connections from several tunnelling clients which might not make current use of them any more, may put an (unnecessary) resource consumption at the WLS server, too.
