Is SQLAuthenticator supported for Oracle WebCenter Portal? (Doc ID 1508806.1)

Last updated on MARCH 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

A SQLAuthenticator provider is being used to get the users from the database.

However, when any users on database try to login to the WebCenter Portal application, and try to open the discussion forum, the following error appears:
Unable to get user profile for username: <USER>
User <USER> could not be found.

If a user is created directly on the embedded LDAP (not from the database) and try to open the discussion forum, no error appears.

After changing the 'setup' property in 'jive_startup.xml' to false, ' Ldap' was selected, to connect to the embedded weblogic ldap.
After that the users that were created directly on the embedded ldap could login successfully to the discussion forum, but the users which reside on the database still cannot login to the discussion forum.

How can this be configured to work?
