Symptoms

ldapmodify fails for cn=schema if 'attributeTypes' contains special chars

Ttrying to add more schema attributes to existing OVD 11g (1.1.6) environment. It fails with below error,

ldapmodify: Server is unwilling to perform (53)
  additional info: LDAP Error 53 : bad value
