Deleting Contents of a flex family and publishing those deletes (Doc ID 1512239.1)

Goal

We want to delete some FLEX_FAMILIES (a full delete of the family including definitions, parents, filters, ...) and also content that are instances of this family.

The problem is that we don´t know which of these options would be better:
1) Delete content (instances of the family) and publish the changes. Later delete the Structural data (Flex Family) and Publish again (using a total of 2 sessions)
or
2) Delete Final Content and also delete Structural data (Flex Family) and Publish (using 1 session).
