BPM 11g: Instance Execution Starting Delay when Processes Loop (Doc ID 1512646.1)

Symptoms

Within a loop you are making a call to a two way asyncronous service...you do a send, receive and loop again many times.

The asyncronous service runs really fast, lets say it completes within 200 ms. For most of the calls it runs at a good speed. But as the number of iterations in the loop increases it gets continually slower and slower. Near the end of the loop it could be taking 20 seconds or more. We can see the service runs really fast but the time it takes for the next instance to be created is a long time.
