GridLink Datasource Is Not Reporting Database Status Correctly In The Administration Console
(Doc ID 1515330.1)
Last updated on MAY 26, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The datasource monitoring page has a ONS ping operation under "[datasource] > Monitoring > Statistics > [server link] > ONS > Testing" that can be used to verify the ONS client node list. When a GridLink Datasource is selected from the Administration Console, if a Database to which the server is connected is shutdown then in the GridLink datasource is still reported as active by the ONS test. After a restart of WebLogic Server, the Gridlink datasource fails to initiate, as expected. This behavior is in contrast with that of a generic Datasource, where, as soon as the Database is down, the testing tab detects that listeners are down.
