Is there a way to put an asset into workflow after an edit? (Doc ID 1515992.1)

Goal

When editing an asset in Contributor Interface ("click the pencil icon") it does not trigger any workflows. How do you setup edits to be part of a workflow process?
 
Is any way to configure the edit button to trigger a workflow?
