SSO 10g to OAM 11g Upgrade Fails and " null" Thrown (Doc ID 1516538.1)

While upgrading "Single Sign-On (SSO) 10G" to "Oracle Access Manager (OAM) 11g" using Upgrade Assistant as per
it fails with the following error in the Upgrade Assistant (UA) log.

     <BEA-080003> <RuntimeException thrown by rmi server:    
     (;Ljava.lang.String;Ljava.rmi.MarshalledObject;[Ljava.lang.String;;) null

and oam server diagnostic log displays the following error;

     Making an Entry for AuthLevel : null
