Calling Native Library Functions Within Custom Component Fails With java.lang.unsatisfiedlinkerror (Doc ID 1517057.1)

Symptoms

When calling a native library from a custom java component in UCM 11g you find that a java.lang.unsatisfiedlinkererror is thrown and the library cannot be opened.

The native library was included with the custom component and the components' LIBPATH was set correctly in the component .hda file.

When checking the java.library.path variable in the WebCenter Content - Configuration Information page (under java properties) you find that the components libpath was not included.

Apart from Content Server (ucm) you have extended the domain with Inbound Refinery (ibr) or Universal Records Management (urm).
