Goal

The goal of this document is to instruct repository managers on how to tune the repository for better performance.

Repository performance can be affected by a number of things. These include the number of concurrent users, the amount and type of data being processed and the transactions that occur. An Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) is normally responsible for monitoring these. The way in which the database has been set up and configured can also affect performance.
