Symptoms

When implementing a custom JMS  log appender using Log4j, managed server fails to start, showing the following exception:

 

 

6. Change the Logging implementation of server from: JDK to Log4J

Environment > Server > <Managed_Server> > Logging > Advanced > Logging Implementation.

7. Bounce server.
