Portlet Headers Do Not Scale Well In Browsers when displayed in ShowDetailFrame ADF Component (Doc ID 1521278.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 22, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If a browser is displayed on a lower resolution, the portlet heading overlaps other portlets. The body wraps correctly. This was working fine in WebCenter 11.1.1.4.

The steps below reproduces the issue:

1. Create new "WebCenter Portal -Framework Application"
2. Add new .jspx page
3. Add layoutCustomizable to the page
4. Add 3 showDetailFrame. One to each panelCustomizable component
5. Give each showDetailFrame a long name - for example: "showDetailFrame 1 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

This gives a code similar to the one below:

      <pe:layoutCustomizable id="layoutCustomizable1">
         <cust:panelCustomizable id="panelCustomizable1">
            <cust:showDetailFrame text="showDetailFrame 1  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx  yyyyyyyyyyyy" id="sdf2"
                                  stretchContent="false">zzzzz</cust:showDetailFrame>
          </cust:panelCustomizable>
          <f:facet name="contentA">
            <cust:panelCustomizable id="panelCustomizable2">
              <cust:showDetailFrame text="showDetailFrame 2" id="sdf1"
                                  stretchContent="false">zzzzz</cust:showDetailFrame>
            </cust:panelCustomizable>
          </f:facet>
          <f:facet name="contentB">
          <cust:panelCustomizable id="panelCustomizable3">
              <cust:showDetailFrame text="showDetailFrame 3" id="sdf3"
                                   stretchContent="false">zzzzz</cust:showDetailFrame>
          </cust:panelCustomizable>
          </f:facet>
        </pe:layoutCustomizable>

6. Run the application
7. Drag your browser smaller
8. The heading of the showDetailFrame goes underneath the other showDetailFrame.
