Using $wcUrl In Content Presenter Automatically Adds Extra 'http' Prefix (Doc ID 1521473.1)

Last updated on MARCH 12, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

We are using the $wcUrl syntax to link from the Content Presenter to a node in the Navigation Model.
This functionality is described here in the Webcenter Spaces Users Guide, Section 40.7 Adding Links from Content to Navigation Nodes.

This node is a URL link, e.g. a link to http://www.oracle.com.
However, when this $wcUrl is used in a Wiki document included in the Content Presenter on a page, an extra 'http://' prefix is automatically added .
This means the link does not work until we edit the HTML to remove the additional prefix.

The same behaviour is seen in a WebCenter Portal application.
