ICAN Doesn't Send ACk back to SAP system, when IDOC is Not Processed By JMS Server. (Doc ID 1521749.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2020

Applies to:

Sun Integrated Composite Application Network (ICAN) - Version 5.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In ICAN5.0.5, when the message fails to go into the JMS queue if the JMS is non-XA, the message is rolled back, but there is no negative ACK sent to SAP system by ICAN.

Incoming IDOCs are lost if the Java Collaboration Definition (JCD) cannot connect to the Java Message Service (JMS). This problem typically occurs when the JMS server stops functioning. From the user perspective, the message erroneously appears to process successfully from the SAP GUI.
