Wrong URL for Old Revisions when Moving one Folder to Another Folder Results in a 404 Error (Doc ID 1521762.1)

Last updated on MAY 07, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Folders_g, you move a folder containing files from one parent folder to another where the account changes (due to ForceFolderSecurity being set on the new parent folder).

Current revisions of the content items within the folder that are moved are fine. The webviewable URL changes correctly to point to the new directory (based on the change of account), and the file is physically moved on the file system to the new directory.

However, older revisions of any files in the folder that was moved have a problem. The webviewable URL changes for these older revisions to point to the new account, but the older revisions are not actually physically moved on the file system to the new directory. This causes a 404 error when trying to access the webviewable file.
