Upgrading Oracle Database For OAAM From 10.2.0.5 To 11.2.0.3 - Commit_write is Deprecated, how to address this? (Doc ID 1522196.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 24, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Adaptive Access Manager - Version 10.1.4.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The database for OAAM (Oracle Adaptive Access Manager) has an init.ora parameter commit_write='BATCH,NOWAIT' as per Oracle Adaptive Access Manager Installation and Configuration Guide Release 10g (10.1.4.5).

That document states:

For 11g, set the commit_write initialization parameter to "NOWAIT."

It seems the commit_write parameter has been deprecated and now there are two potential parameters that can be used: commit_logging and commit_wait. What is the correct parameter?
