SOA 11g: FileNotFoundException when doing File Move Operation with File Adapter to a Windows Mounted Target Directory (Doc ID 1526395.1)

There is a BPEL process where a file gets moved from source to target directory by means of a File Adapter. This process is working fine when deployed on a Linux machine, where both source and target directories are local Linux directories.

When the target directory is mounted to a Windows folder using CIFS, by means of Samba, the BPEL process starts failing and the files are not moved. The following errors are seen in the SOA server log:
