Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle GlassFish Server - Version 3.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When trying to start a domain with a lot of applications to load, the asadmin command times out after 600 seconds. However, the process continues to start and the service becomes available as expected. When listing the domains it says that the domain isn't running. Setting the environment variable AS_ADMIN_READTIMEOUT is a suggested method to increase this timeout. However, if AS_ADMIN_READTIMEOUT environment variable is set, it is ignored by asadmin commands.
