Group Members Distinguished Name (DN) Not Correctly Translated By OVD
(Doc ID 1529362.1)
Last updated on JUNE 13, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 10.1.4 to 11.1.1.9.0 [Release 10gR3 to 11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 10g or 11g.
OVD rewrite / translation of group members Distinguished Name (DN) not working as expected.
When doing a simple join of two groups, the membership shows the users with DNs in their true remote namespace location and not the relative root namespace location in OVD. So when the application is looking for the user, it will not find it, e.g.:
User true location = cn=<userid>, ou=<ou>, ou=<oud2>, dc=<dc>, dc=<dc2>, dc=com
User OVD location = cn=<userid>, ou=<ou3>,ou=<oud4>,dc=<dc3>
How to translate the member DNs in groups in OVD correctly?
