After Applying Solaris OS Kernel Patch Oracle HTTP Server Start Fails With "Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to port" (Doc ID 1530262.1)

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 10.1.2.0.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

Starting Oracle HTTP Server(OHS) returns error in error_log.

Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to port 8888

 


Changes

This was working in previous Solaris OS patch level Generic_144488-17,  error is encountered after patching Solaris OS to Generic_147440-19.
